Sunray Engineering Limited are a leading and specialist Manufacturer and Installer of Steel & Timber Security and Fire Doors, as well as associated products such as Louvre Panels, Solid Panels, Access Hatches and further enhanced products for Blast and Ballistic protection. These are supplied to a diverse range of specifiers across the UK and Worldwide to meet performance and product criteria. We now seek to enhance the skills within our manufacturing team. The role will focus on providing day-to-day manufacturing of security/industrial door sets as well as our Louvre panels as specified by the customers to meet the strict designs.

What you would do as our Welder/Fabricator & assembly Operative

· Using the utmost due care and attention to detail, Weld, Fabricate and Assemble to detailed project/product drawings the Sunray range of Steel Frames, Doors and Panel variants.

· Undertaking the Welding, Fabrication and Assembly process for Steel components and sub-assembly parts used for standard stock requirement using the same ethos.

· Ensuring quality, consistency and integrity of the weld and fabrication process through all stages of the manufacturing process.

· Able to self-inspect and complete work to the Quality Standards the Business adheres to.

· Being proactive within your role and highlighting and recording any possible issues, problems, variances during the weld and fabrication process to your line Manager as well as contribute to the company’s ideas and suggestions incentive for continuous improvement.

The skills and experience you need to have.

We are looking for someone who:

· Previous experience/knowledge in similar role using MIG welding and fabrication of metal products would be an advantage.

· Strong attention to detail and proven ability in organising workload within strict timeframes to ensure delivery schedule is maintained to customer's expectation.

· Possess strong mechanical knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in various welding techniques.

· Proficient in using Epicor/Vantage would be an advantage.

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Highly organised and can prioritise workloads effectively.
